Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engineering

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in QA/QC discipline

Job Responsibilities:

• Sample Management:
• Inspect received routine samples.
• Distribute samples to the relevant laboratory sections for analysis.
• Communicate any abnormal samples or non-receipt of routine samples to the shift in charge.
• Testing and Reporting:
• Adhere to standard test methods and quality system procedures.
• Validate and confirm test results before reporting.
• Detect and report exceptions or deviations in test results.
• Emergency Response:
• Perform on-spot mitigation under guidance during emergencies.
• Laboratory Maintenance:
• Clean and maintain analytical gear for the next test.
• Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Data Management:
• Timely entry of test results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Record results in raw data books and process registers.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow HSEF procedures and safety norms for handling chemicals and tools.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions to lab management.
• Learning and Development:
• Participate in training to enhance competencies.
• Engage in external training and events as advised by the section head.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of standard test procedures and result reporting.
• Ability to handle and analyze samples accurately.
• Effective communication for reporting abnormal or off-spec results.
• Capability to learn various types of chemical and instrumental testing.
• Familiarity with fire safety management, waste management, and integrated management systems.
