Key Responsibilities
As a Product Safety Specialist at Lonza, you will:
- Ensure compliance with GHS classification requirements for purchased materials and products.
- Review supplier Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and verify compliance with regional regulations.
- Maintain and update SDS records in SAP EHS and S/4HANA systems.
- Assess and document physical, health, and environmental hazards of chemical substances.
- Monitor regulatory updates related to REACH, CLP, and global chemical regulations.
- Support hazard communication initiatives across business functions.
- Monitor raw material status changes within SAP systems.
- Respond to customer and business inquiries regarding regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in product safety projects.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in regulatory compliance processes.
