Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesis and Characterization:
- Synthesize, purify, and characterize novel chemical compounds.
- Deliver small to large quantities of novel chemical entities for drug discovery.
- Perform functional group conversions and multiple step synthesis.
- Laboratory Work:
- Conduct reactions safely and handle pyrophoric reactions.
- Utilize techniques such as TLC, column purification, and extraction.
- Analyze NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively in a team to drive chemistry projects forward.
- Adhere to safe laboratory practices and stretch when project challenges increase.
- Conduct literature searches using Reaxys and record findings in electronic lab notebooks.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using Chem Draw/ISIS for structure drawing and MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
Person Profile:
- Qualification:
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry or related field/ M. Pharma.
- Experience:
- 1-6 years of industry experience with a leading CRO organization.
