The ICMR-PORA MED ADHERE Project is an impactful study focused on geriatric care, aiming to evaluate the effect of a medication adherence app and manual pill organizer on medication adherence and clinical outcomes in elderly patients. This community-based, multi-center research will be conducted at KEM, Vadu; AFMC, Pune; and SJMC, Bengaluru with approximately 700 patients involved in a factorial design randomized controlled trial (RCT).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in health sciences, pharmacy, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of clinical research experience.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Kannada (reading, writing, translation, and transcription).

Required Skills and Experience

  • Essential:
    • Ability and willingness to work on-site and travel for fieldwork.
    • Experience managing a team of field research assistants.
    • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external partners.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in writing for peer-reviewed publications.
    • Prior experience in project coordination.
    • Hands-on experience in conducting fieldwork.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordination:
    • Oversee and coordinate the community-based study.
    • Manage communication and alignment between multi-centric RCT sites.
  • Reporting:
    • Provide weekly progress updates to the principal investigator.
  • Collaboration:
    • Liaise with the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC), Human Resources, and finance teams.
  • Development and Analysis:
    • Assist in the creation of study tools and contribute to project analysis.
