Job Opportunity: Research Associate/Senior Research Associate (Synthesis)
We are currently hiring for the role of Research Associate/Senior Research Associate (Synthesis). This full-time position offers a platform for individuals with an enthusiasm for organic chemistry to excel in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities in the Job

  • Conduct and oversee chemical reactions, ensuring meticulous execution and safety.
  • Purify chemical compounds and accurately interpret data from instruments such as NMR, LCMS, and HPLC.
  • Draft detailed procedures for series of reactions, enabling the preparation of final products for compound submissions.
  • Apply knowledge of medicinal chemistry and structure-activity relationships (SAR) to contribute to ongoing research projects.
  • Execute laboratory techniques with proficiency, managing specific tasks independently while seeking guidance for broader project directions.
  • Perform basic chemistry database searches to support research, following directions from the Group Leader.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a laboratory setting.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of organic chemistry and synthesis.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools such as NMR, LCMS, and HPLC for compound analysis.
  • Ability to write detailed and accurate procedures for synthesis projects.
  • A solid grasp of medicinal chemistry concepts, particularly related to SAR analysis.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques and the ability to conduct independent research within a structured framework.
  • Competence in using chemistry databases for research and information retrieval.
