Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience: 1.5 years or more of denial coding minimum.
- A certification in one of the following fields is required: certified professional coder (CPC), certified coding specialist (CCS), certified outpatient coder (COC), certified risk adjustment coder (CRC), or certified interventional radiology and cardiology coder (CIRCC).
- Education: Graduate of Life Science with a degree in one of the following: Nursing, Nutrition, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Genetics; BPT/MPT (Bachelor’s/Master’s in Physiotherapy); B. Pharm/M. Pharm (Bachelor’s/Master’s in Pharmacy); B.Sc/M.Sc (Bachelor’s/Master’s in Science).
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and evaluate the data in medical records to make sure that the codes accurately reflect the services that were provided to the patient.
- Assign Codes: Verify that the visit is supported by the appropriate assignment of medical, diagnostic, and procedural codes.
