Responsibilities in the Role

As a Process Associate in Life Insurance, you will play a vital role in Genpact’s operations. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Document Assessment: Reviewing life insurance documents, identifying underwriting needs, and requesting additional information when necessary.
  2. Application Evaluation: Analyzing applications to determine APS (Attending Physician Statement) requirements.
  3. Customer Support: Responding to inquiries via email and acting on underwriter requests.
  4. System Updates: Entering underwriting decisions, generating disclosure letters for adverse decisions, and adjusting schedules during peak periods.
  5. APS Guidelines Development: Establishing APS ordering standards, incorporating knowledge of medical and non-medical underwriting principles.
  6. Compliance Knowledge: Understanding insurance laws, state regulations, and compliance requirements while ensuring confidentiality.

Qualifications Required

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Non-Technical).
  • Experience in medical record summarization/review is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong typing skills.
  • Certifications in insurance-related fields.
  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.

To excel as a Process Associate, candidates should possess:
