Responsibilities in the Job
As a Medical Information Specialist at EVERSANA, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Medical Information Support:
- Responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and payers about pharmaceutical products.
- Researching and critically evaluating medical literature to craft evidence-based responses.
- Handling inquiries across various channels, including phone, email, and chat.
- Adverse Events and Product Complaints:
- Identifying and reporting adverse events and product quality complaints.
- Collaborating with departments such as Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for issue resolution.
- Medical Writing and Content Development:
- Drafting medical information documents like FAQs, Scientific Response Documents, and Custom Response Documents.
- Assisting in field team training and providing support at scientific medical affairs booths.
- Miscellaneous Duties:
- Conducting market and competitive product research.
- Participating in operational and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: An advanced healthcare degree (preferably PharmD or higher).
- Licensure: Pharmacist license required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a contact center or pharmaceutical industry environment is advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of medical information databases, telephony systems, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing tools.
- Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in therapeutic areas like Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, or rare diseases.
