Key Responsibilities
As a Contract Specialist, you will handle end-to-end contracting activities in a fast-paced clinical research environment:
- Draft, review, and negotiate Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), Work Orders (WOs), Start-Up Agreements (SUAs), and Letters of Intent (LOIs)
- Support review of Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Stand-Alone Agreements (SAAs), Quality Agreements, and Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs)
- Conduct legal review of Change Orders (COs) and provide interpretive summaries
- Ensure compliance with Clario contracting standards and SOPs
- Manage contract workflows and documentation using Salesforce
- Track escalations and collaborate with legal and subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Maintain structured and audit-ready contract documentation
- Handle electronic signatures and compliance tracking
- Support client audits, regulatory inspections, and internal process improvements
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members
Qualifications & Requirements
To qualify for this Contract Specialist job in clinical research, candidates should have:
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience in life sciences, legal, or business
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial contracting or clinical trial agreements
- Experience in pharmaceutical, CRO, or healthcare industry (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management and legal documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Salesforce or contract management systems
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
