Responsibilities of a Junior Data Analyst at Cognizant

As a Junior Data Analyst at Cognizant, you will play a key role in managing and reviewing data discrepancies, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the study design process. Some of your core responsibilities will include:

  • Data Discrepancy Management: Identifying and resolving discrepancies in data to ensure integrity and consistency.
  • Data Review and Reconciliation: Reviewing data in compliance with established guidelines, including SAE reconciliation, third-party data reconciliation, and statistical checks.
  • Study Protocol Knowledge: Understanding the study protocol to provide feedback on the clinical database and study design, ensuring consistency and completeness.
  • Communication of Risks and Issues: Reporting any data risks or issues to the Project Data Manager (PDM) and sending regular reports.
  • Updating Logs and Reports: Maintaining issue logs and updating the CPT on defined frequencies.
  • Document Management: Uploading processed documents to the applicable SharePoint.
  • Collaboration and Milestone Management: Ensuring assigned activities meet milestone dates, collaborating with teams to achieve set goals.

This role will require attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.

Qualifications for Junior Data Analyst

To be eligible for this role, the candidate should meet the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A degree in a relevant field (such as Data Science, Computer Science, or Life Sciences) is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in data analysis or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Study Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with clinical study protocols is beneficial.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using tools such as Rave and SharePoint is a plus.
