Job Purpose
The Junior Team Member in the Quality Control (QC) department will be responsible for preparing, updating, and reviewing specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operating documents. The goal is to ensure that materials align with predefined quality parameters and comply with relevant standards such as pharmacopeia and cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements. Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Team Member in QC, your responsibilities will include:
1. Document Preparation and Maintenance
- Prepare documents such as SOPs, specifications, and non-routine documentation.
- Ensure timely availability of documents across the site to support the analysis of materials.
- Maintain records to facilitate easy access during audits or analysis.
2. Pharmacopeial Updates and Compliance
- Review the latest pharmacopeial updates, supplements, and amendments.
- Evaluate and update existing documents to ensure they comply with the most current pharmacopeial standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to gain consent for necessary document changes.
3. Quality Compliance
- Review assigned documents by referring to concerned backups and predefined quality procedures.
- Ensure that all documents meet quality requirements in terms of accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
4. Document Issuance
- Issue documents to applicable units and maintain records in the issuance record (bound book).
- Ensure that the current version of the common documents is available at the unit to avoid confusion or delays.
5. Process Simplification
- Participate in the harmonization and simplification of processes to reduce complexities.
- Ensure standardized procedures are followed, promoting efficiency across the organization.
Education Qualification
To qualify for this role, the candidate must have:
- M.Sc. in a relevant field or
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma)
Work Experience
Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the QC department of a pharmaceutical organization.
