Job Description and Responsibilities
Medical Representative (MR)
Medical Representatives play a critical role in promoting and driving sales of pharmaceutical products. The key responsibilities include:
- Promote Company Products:
- Visit medical professionals and promote Alkem products, in line with company strategy, by generating prescriptions.
- Ensure Product Availability:
- Visit chemists and stockists to ensure the availability of Alkem’s products.
- Achieve Targets:
- Consistently meet monthly sales targets.
- Field Reporting:
- Regularly report field activities and results through the company’s Infinity reporting tool.
- Feedback:
- Provide timely feedback to supervisors about performance and market conditions.
- Product Awareness:
- Organize CMEs, CRMs, and product promotion campaigns to create awareness and ensure a return on investment.
- Ethical Business Conduct:
- Uphold Alkem’s reputation by conducting business ethically and maintaining the company’s integrity.
Skills Required:
- Scientific Knowledge: Strong understanding of Alkem’s products and their unique selling points (USPs), as well as competitor products.
- Sales Skills: In-clinic performance, sales effectiveness, and relationship building with healthcare professionals.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge to manage reporting and CRM tools.
- Territory Knowledge: Familiarity with the target locations and customer base.
Area Business Manager (ABM)
Area Business Managers lead teams of Medical Representatives and are responsible for driving the overall sales in their assigned areas. Their responsibilities include:
- Team Management:
- Lead and assist Medical Representatives in meeting sales targets.
- Promotion:
- Visit medical professionals to promote products, generate prescriptions, and ensure sales growth.
- Target Achievement:
- Meet monthly sales targets consistently.
- Field Reporting:
- Submit regular field reports through Infinity.
- Feedback & Supervision:
- Provide guidance and performance feedback to Medical Representatives.
- Product Awareness:
- Conduct CMEs, CRMs, and product promotions to enhance awareness and ensure investments yield returns.
- Ethical Business Conduct:
- Maintain the positive image and integrity of Alkem.
- Product Availability:
- Ensure product availability by visiting chemists and stockists.
Skills Required:
- Leadership: Ability to manage and guide a team effectively.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of Alkem’s and competitors’ products.
