Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain department cleanliness.
- Coordinate, monitor, and control departmental activities in compliance with 21 CFR Part 111 and all applicable regulations.
- Achieve optimum productivity with specified quality through effective utilization of available resources to meet market requirements.
- Train workmen and subordinates.
- Ensure the production of quality products and maintain the company’s quality system.
- Avoid breaches of data integrity at all levels.
- Implement effective sanitation activities.
- Identify and monitor internal and external QEHS issues and the needs and expectations of relevant interested parties.
- Implement QEHS policy and objectives.
- Ensure the use of PPE.
- Identify and communicate incidents and QEHS non-conformities, investigate, and take corrective actions.
- Ensure work permit system during maintenance activities.
- Implement QEHS continual improvement projects and monitor them.
- Ensure proper waste disposal.
- Ensure participation and consultation of workers.
- Allocate manpower.
- Monitor manufacturing and packing activities.
- Perform in-process checks and update departmental records.
- Report material shortages to the planning department.
- Report incidents to the HR and safety departments.
- Plan manpower requirements to meet output and delivery schedules under HOD guidance.
- Optimize the use of man, machine, and material resources, including natural resources like electricity, water, steam, and compressed air, to increase productivity.
- Ensure proper segregation of materials, product quality, and cleanliness of machines and work areas.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, Stores, HR, IT, EHS, and ENGG departments.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of machines by the maintenance department.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
- Train workmen and operators on GMP, personal hygiene, SOPs, packing processes, and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with safety measures.
- Implement and document ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45000:2018, and FSSC 22000 standards.
- Prevent improper workplace conditions and report hazards, incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
- Prepare OH&S performance documents and conduct OHSMS-related training for workmen.
