Role Summary:
- Relevant experience in mass spectrometry-based characterization of monoclonal antibodies, insulin analogues, pegylated proteins, antibody-drug conjugates, therapeutic peptides, host cell proteins, and polysorbates.
- Proficiency in handling high-resolution mass spectrometers (Q-TOF/Orbitrap) and familiarity with software platforms for intact/subunit mass deconvolution, reduced and non-reduced peptide mapping, glycan analysis, and other biopharma applications.
- Experience with multi-attribute methods (characterization and monitoring), new peak detection, and generation of automated reports using new generation ‘MS only’ instruments.
- Strong background in analytical separations with a willingness to cross-learn new skills.
- Experience in mass-spec based host-cell protein identification and quantitation, higher-order structure determination using HDX-MS technology, and top-down, middle-down, and bottom-up approaches of mass spectrometry.
- Proficiency in biopharmaceutical MS software such as Proteome Discoverer, Byonic, Biopharma Finder, Protein Pilot, Peakview, and documentation software such as eLN, LIMS, and QMS software such as Trackwise.
Education & Experience:
- Post-graduate with 6-8 years of research experience or PhD with 3-5 years of experience.
- Life sciences background in biochemistry, biotechnology, protein chemistry, or allied subjects preferred.
