Clinical Database Development Specialist – MediData / Veeva Vault
The selected professional will support clinical study database development, clinical reporting, data transfers, and clinical application implementation. The role requires technical expertise in clinical EDC systems, SQL, and clinical data management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and support clinical study databases.
- Configure cross-system interfaces according to business processes.
- Support the development, testing, and maintenance of clinical reports and clinical data transfers.
- Apply relevant industry standards to clinical database development.
- Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of clinical applications.
- Provide technical consultation and task direction to vendors.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, milestones, progress updates, and issue resolution.
- Stay updated on clinical data management technologies, methods, standards, and best practices.
- Review and acknowledge assigned Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Candidates should have practical knowledge and demonstrated competence in the relevant professional area, along with experience appropriate to clinical database development.
Required Skills and Technical Knowledge
Candidates should have expertise in the following areas:
- Clinical EDC Systems: Advanced proficiency with systems such as Medidata Rave.
- Clinical Trial Management Systems: Knowledge of clinical trial management systems and associated processes.
- Clinical Database Development: Experience developing, configuring, testing, and maintaining clinical study databases.
- SQL and Query Development: Expertise in SQL and/or advanced query development tools.
- Clinical Reporting: Experience creating clinical operational reports and dashboards using a clinical data warehouse.
- Data Transfers and Uploads: Familiarity with batch upload processes; upload automation experience is preferred.
- Custom Function Programming: Experience with custom function programming in Medidata Rave is an advantage.
- Databricks: Experience with Databricks is an advantage.
- Project Management: Ability to manage milestones, timelines, budgets, communication, and issue resolution.
