Job Description

The QA Analyst role at IQVIA involves testing highly complex software applications, preparing and executing test cases, supporting defect tracking, and working closely with development teams, test leads, managers, and other project stakeholders. The role requires strong understanding of SDLC/STLC processes, defect lifecycle, clinical data management, and hands-on experience with relevant testing and tracking tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing of highly complex software applications under general supervision.
  • Understand and review requirements, create test plans and/or contribute to test estimations, manual and automation planning.
  • Perform test case planning, authoring, and execution on planned releases.
  • Support and perform test iterations, defect tracking, report test results, and coordinate with the team.
  • Work closely with Developers, Test Leads/Managers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modifying software.
  • Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
  • Coordinate with development teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Regularly document, track, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Seek necessary managerial support to discuss or flag risks and mitigation plans.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Clinical Information Management, or equivalent qualifications.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience as an individual contributor working under close supervision.
  • Experience in manual testing concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience in any one ETL tool and related concepts is preferred.
  • Experience in UAT for IRT, ECOA, and medical devices.
  • Good hands-on experience in Oracle/SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with HP ALM, JIRA, and SynapseRT.
  • Good strong understanding of SDLC/STLC processes.
  • Good strong understanding of defect lifecycle.
  • Good to have automation exposure or experience.
  • SDTM standard knowledge is desirable.
  • Good understanding of Clinical Data Management.
