Job Responsibilities

As a Clinical DB Validation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring database quality and functionality in a Clinical Data Management System (CDMS) environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting testing activities to validate edit checks, system settings, SAS listings, transfer programming, and custom reports on platforms like InForm, RAVE, and OCRDC.
  • Ensuring adherence to validation processes and best practice guidelines.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of database structures and documentation requirements.
  • Updating relevant project documentation in a timely manner.
  • Communicating project status and escalating issues to the Validation Team Lead/Manager.
  • Mentoring Associate Validation Analysts in testing activities.
  • Performing quality reviews of testing projects.
  • Providing suggestions and participating in continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Complying with core operating procedures, work instructions, and best practice guidelines.
  • Collaborating effectively with teams across multiple locations.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Technology-related fields.
  • 2+ years of total experience, including 1–2 years of relevant clinical database testing experience in CDMS platforms.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in platforms such as InForm, RAVE, and OCRDC.
  • Solid understanding of database structures and validation processes.
  • Excellent documentation and quality review skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
