As a Clinical Data Coder 1, you will provide data management expertise and perform coding activities to ensure accurate and efficient clinical data processing. This role involves working closely with Data Management (DM) teams to meet the needs of both the sponsor and the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently serve as a Clinical Data Coder and/or Lead Coder for one or more protocols.
- Manage the delivery of coding activities across the full study life-cycle with minimal supervision.
- Validate coding applications, test programming reports, datasets, and coding-related edits.
- Conduct data reviews and resolve data clarifications as part of coding tasks.
- Lead Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliation activities.
- Ensure timely project delivery and assist the Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) or Data Team Lead (DTL) as needed.
- Implement quality control procedures and support audit readiness for standalone coding projects.
- Collaborate with the team to introduce new technologies and coding solutions.
- Maintain effective communication and foster strong working relationships with team members, managers, and clients.

Qualifications Required
- Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, or related fields.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminologies, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- In-depth understanding of MedDRA and WHODD dictionaries.
- Familiarity with the Data Management process from study start-up to database lock.
