Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Procurement Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for APIs and raw materials.
- Float enquiries, collect quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize commercial terms.
- Ensure cost optimization without compromising quality and compliance.
- Review purchase requisitions and process timely purchase orders.
Vendor Management
- Maintain and update vendor database and approved vendor list.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, and Regulatory teams.
- Resolve supplier-related issues including delivery delays and documentation gaps.
Inventory Planning
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams.
- Ensure timely supplier follow-up for dispatch schedules.
Documentation Compliance
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Review CoA, MSDS, and technical documents before procurement.
- Maintain procurement records, quotations, pricing comparisons, and contracts.
- Support audits through accurate procurement documentation.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with Finance for vendor payments and invoice reconciliation.
- Work closely with QA/QC for material clearance and sampling updates.
- Share procurement status with Purchase Manager and Management.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or
- BE (Mechanical)
- 5–8 years of relevant commercial procurement experience.
- Pharmaceutical industry background is preferred.
- Experience in procurement within a USFDA-approved facility will be an added advantage.
Preferred Profile
- API procurement experience.
- Knowledge of vendor development and commercial negotiations.
- Strong documentation and compliance skills.
- Good coordination and communication abilities.
Salary & Benefits
Expected Salary: ₹7,00,000 – ₹10,00,000 per annum (approximate, depending on experience and company policies).
