Role: Drug Safety Physician – Sr. Executive

Location: Wipro, Pune, Hinjewadi Phase 2 (Hybrid)

Education Qualification:

  • MBBS required.
  • MD in Pharmacology preferred.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years.
  • Freshers with clinical research experience are also eligible.
  • Preferably immediate joiners or those available within 30 days.

Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Report Review: Analyze published reports and biomedical literature to identify adverse reaction case reports and non-individual case reports.
  2. Regulatory Application: Apply regulatory and internal guidelines to determine if articles meet the criteria for case reports and non-individual case reports.
  3. Relevancy Assessment: Assess the relevance of reports based on industry guidelines.
  4. Training: Provide training and guidance to team members on inclusion criteria for case reports and non-individual case reports.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the physician team is well-trained and up-to-date with industry norms.
  6. Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by the team lead or manager.

Technical/Functional Competency:

  1. Human Anatomy & Physiology: Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
  2. MedDRA Coding: Experience with MedDRA coding and the subsuming of adverse drug reaction/AE terms.
  3. Seriousness Determination: Ability to determine the seriousness of adverse reactions.
  4. Pharmacological Concepts: Familiarity with pharmacological concepts.
  5. Communication Skills: Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  6. Teamwork: Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
