Job Responsibilities for Clinical Data Specialist
As a Clinical Data Specialist at IQVIA, your primary responsibility is to support the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team in delivering high-quality data management products. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for one protocol or leading specific data management tasks, such as coding, testing, or database designing.
- Conducting data reviews and writing data clarifications as needed.
- Leading the database audit team and overseeing database development and testing.
- Performing clinical data coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with the Data Operations Coordinator, Data Team Lead (DTL), and other members of the team.
Qualifications for the Role
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, or a related field, is required.
- Alternatively, a combination of education, training, and experience in data management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Exposure to medical terminology is essential.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in computer skills, with attention to detail and the ability to take initiative in resolving issues.
- Capability to work independently and build effective relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
