Role Overview: Configuration & QC Specialist I

The Configuration & QC Specialist I role involves supporting the configuration and quality control of clinical trial databases and electronic data capture (EDC) systems. This role is based in Bangalore with a hybrid work setup. As part of the clinical data management team, you’ll work closely with various departments to ensure accuracy and data integrity in clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Configuration: Assist in configuring clinical trial databases and EDC systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
  • Quality Control (QC): Conduct QC checks on clinical trial data and documentation to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams such as data management, biostatistics, and clinical operations to address QC findings.
  • System Validation: Support validation plan development to assess EDC system functionality and data management processes.
  • Training & Support: Provide training to end-users on system configuration, data entry protocols, and QC procedures to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, computer science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in clinical data management or a related role, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with EDC systems like Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical, or Inform.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify and address data issues.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Proactiveness: Open to learning new technologies and adapting to process changes.
