As a Clinical Operations Delivery Specialist I (RSM-C I) at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will work highly independently, performing critical assessments in collaboration with study teams or other departments to determine the best approaches to manipulate subject data. You will be capable of leading active and challenging interdepartmental discussions to explore best strategies and practices after understanding trial-specific needs and diverse databases that can be used as sources of information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review subject data from multiple sources with a data analytic mindset, identifying trends, risks, gaps, and areas for optimization.
- Prepare and analyze clinical trial patient datasets, adapting to constant changes as the trial develops.
- Provide concise and clear updates to study teams and other key stakeholders after processing and reviewing subject data.
- Continually make efforts to increase knowledge base and professional skills in areas such as programming, technology and techniques, clinical trials, and the pharmaceutical industry.
- Assist with the implementation of best practice documents and articles.
- Generate a thorough understanding of protocol schedules of events, contracts, budgets, and payment terms.
- Escalate performance issues to clinical, site payments, and IT managers, and assist with resolution.
- Lead internal team meetings and provide updates on subject data statuses.
- Manage escalations regarding tracking system setup/maintenance issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in life science-related fields, Engineering, Biostatistics, Programming, or related fields/degrees.
- Desired (but not required):
- 6 months to 1 year of clinical research experience or related fields.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in process development, process improvement, data assessments, analytics, or critical assessments.
- Experience with databases with a scientific background.
- Understanding of database structure and complex data systems.
- Proven understanding and use of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in the English language.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation.
