Roles and Responsibilities of Assistant Drugs Inspector

Selected candidates will assist the enforcement wing of the Kerala Drugs Control Department in various public health and medicines regulation activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the One Health response to antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
  • Assisting in implementation of the nPROUD (New Program on Return of Unused Drugs) initiative
  • Assisting officers during field inspections
  • Monitoring misuse of antimicrobials and psychotropic drugs
  • Collecting drug samples for quality testing
  • Supporting legal matters and court proceedings under Rule 51 of Drugs Rules 1945
  • Assisting Drugs Controller and enforcement officers in departmental activities

This role provides practical exposure to pharmaceutical regulation, drug enforcement, and government healthcare systems.
