- Oversee quality assurance and quality control in forensic laboratories.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and accreditation standards.
- Manage quality assurance programs accredited by bodies such as the Quality Council of India, NABL, NAAC, and BIS.
- Maintain high standards of forensic research and laboratory practices.
Eligibility Criteria: a) Officers from Central/State Government or Union Territories or Universities or recognized research institutions or public sector undertakings or statutory or autonomous organizations:
- i) Holding an analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- ii) With five years of regular service in posts in Level – 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) of the Pay Matrix; and b) Possessing the essential qualifications and experience as follows:
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Biophysics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Forensic Science, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physical Anthropology, Genetics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Psychology, Criminology, Computer Science, Electronics, Human Genetics.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Biotechnology, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
- Experience:
- Ten years of research experience in a Forensic Laboratory/Institution under Central/State or Union Territory.
- Out of which, eight years of experience must be in an accredited laboratory/institution for managing quality assurance programs accredited by recognized bodies like Quality Council of India, NABL, NAAC, NAEB, Skill Management and Accreditation of Training, BIS.
Additional Information:
- Deputation Period: The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment, shall not exceed four years.
- Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of application receipt.
