Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a crucial role in clinical trials and patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Vital Monitoring & Recording: Track and document patients’ vitals during studies.
- Cannulation & Sample Collection: Perform blood draws and sample collection for screening, in-house, and ambulatory studies.
- ECG Recording: Conduct Electro Cardio Gram tests as per protocol.
- Bio-Waste Management: Ensure proper disposal of medical waste.
- Emergency Medicine Maintenance: Keep emergency medications stocked and accessible.
- ICU Management: Oversee ICU operations and patient care.
- Sample Handling: Separate, segregate, and label blood samples as per SOP.
- Diagnostic Coordination: Transfer blood samples to diagnostic labs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all clinical instruments are functional.
- Screening Tests: Conduct urine drug tests, pregnancy tests, and alcohol breath tests.
- Team Leadership: Manage nursing staff and phlebotomists.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Diploma in Nursing or B.Sc (Nursing)
- Experience in clinical research, ICU, or hospital settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of phlebotomy, cannulation, and ECG
- Familiarity with GCP (Good Clinical Practice) guidelines
- Ability to manage emergency medical situations
