About the Role
As an Associate STEM Content Analyst – Pharma Chemistry, you will:
- Code and index chemical compounds present in patents, adhering to Derwent Innovation product policies and conventions.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in pharma chemistry and intellectual property.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to deliver high-quality content for leading R&D labs, universities, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
- Continuously upskill in areas like data analysis, chemical structure drawing, and patent analysis.
About You
Must-Have Qualifications:
- A degree in B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or M.Sc Chemistry.
- Freshers or candidates with 1-2 years of experience in chemistry or pharma-based content editing (non-R&D).
- Proficiency in tools like ISIS Draw/Marvin JS and knowledge of IUPAC nomenclature, chemical reactions, and drug applications.
- Strong content writing, analysis, and computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Elementary proficiency in foreign languages like German, French, or Spanish.
- Experience in patent analysis, Markush structures, and complex chemical reactions.
About the Team
The PharmaChem team is a dynamic group of 20+ professionals based in Chennai and Hyderabad, with experience ranging from 0 to 15 years. The team includes Associate Content Editors and Content Editors who work on indexing and coding chemical compounds for the Derwent Innovation product. This product is used by leading R&D labs, universities, and pharmaceutical companies globally. The team reports to Content Managers in India and London.
