Responsibilities of a Clinical Data Manager
As a Clinical Data Manager at BMS, you will play an integral role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of clinical trial data. Your key responsibilities include:
Data Review
- Analyzing clinical data against protocols and data review plans.
- Managing and resolving discrepancies to maintain clean datasets.
- Preparing and managing freezing and locking processes for CRFs (Case Report Forms).
- Collaborating with the Data Management Lead to achieve study deliverables.
External Data Management
- Reviewing external data uploads for consistency and accuracy.
- Tracking data loads and addressing discrepancies.
- Coordinating with external vendors to resolve issues.
Documentation
- Filing essential documents in the electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) system according to the eTMF master plan.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must possess:
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 2 – 4 years of clinical data review experience.
Key Skills
- Proficiency in clinical data review tasks.
- Familiarity with EDC systems (Medidata RAVE preferred).
- Basic knowledge of the clinical drug development process and FDA/ICH guidelines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication abilities.
