Responsibilities in the Role of Medical Science Liaison (MSL)
Primary Activities:
- Exchange and Dissemination of Scientific Information:
- Proactively and reactively engage with Thought Leaders (TLs) to share scientific insights.
- Provide comprehensive education on scientific data, study protocols, and professional literature.
- Medical Society Interactions and Advisory Boards:
- Address medical/scientific queries from Medical Societies.
- Participate in or organize advisory board sessions.
- Participation at Congresses and Conventions:
- Represent Bayer at major conferences and conventions.
- Network with TLs and gather competitive intelligence.
- Coordination of Scientific Education Activities:
- Plan and execute scientific training and educational events.
- TL Profiling and Engagement Strategy:
- Collaborate on TL engagement plans based on medical affairs objectives.
- Reporting and Activity Tracking:
- Maintain timely reports and track activities aligned with agreed goals.
Secondary Activities:
- Provide external scientific support, including training and education as needed.
Qualifications Required
- A degree in natural sciences or a medical background (MD, MBBS, BAMS, BDS, or MDS).
- Basic knowledge of therapy areas such as Chronic Kidney Disease and Diabetes, including relevant molecules.
- Familiarity with clinical trial design and rationale.
- Independent working capabilities and excellent collaboration skills.
