Position
Engagement Analyst
The Engagement Analyst will support External Expert Engagement Services (E3S) by processing and coordinating compliant contracts for healthcare providers and patients involved in advisory boards, consulting, and speaking engagements.
The role focuses on accurate documentation, compliance, contracting, approvals, payment coordination, stakeholder communication, service-level performance, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Review incoming requests for completeness and route them to the appropriate reviewer or business area.
- Manage queues and maintain case-aging targets.
- Guide stakeholders through contracting and approval processes.
- Apply policies related to Fair Market Value (FMV), caps, and utilization rules.
- Ensure executed letters of agreement (LOAs) and contracts are obtained before programs begin.
- Conduct first-line due diligence, including debarment and exclusion screening.
- Escalate complex compliance matters to Compliance or Legal teams.
- Collect, review, and maintain required documentation according to SOPs and retention policies.
- Capture transparency reporting information, including US Sunshine/Open Payments, EFPIA, and country-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with the Payments team to obtain required information and resolve payment exceptions.
- Support payment initiation.
- Meet quality and productivity targets, including first-time-right performance, case backlog, and monthly throughput.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders across global teams.
- Identify compliance risks and document decision rationale.
- Maintain audit readiness and consistently apply AstraZeneca policies and procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements, training materials, SOP updates, and knowledge articles.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- 1–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in a regulated environment involving projects, contracts, or operational workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work according to SLAs.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams.
- High ethical standards and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information.
