About Ansh:
Ansh, a Charity Entrepreneurship incubated charity, is dedicated to saving newborn lives by enhancing healthcare capacity in government district hospitals in India. Our mission is to implement scalable and cost-effective newborn care practices such as Kangaroo Mother Care, breastfeeding counselling, monitoring danger signs, and infection prevention and control (IPC) measures.

Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) Components:

  • Skin-to-Skin Contact: Regulates infant’s body temperature, reducing hypothermia.
  • Close Monitoring: Monitors mothers and newborns for danger signs.
  • Exclusive Breastfeeding: Boosts infant’s immune system and helps in weight gain.

We have 24 full-time staff working in Pali District Hospital and Baran District Hospital, aiming to replicate our model for broader public health implementation.

Position Overview:
The Nurse Education Facilitator is crucial for sustaining and expanding Ansh’s programs in Rajasthan. This role involves working closely with on-ground nursing staff and program management to deliver impactful educational facilitation in KMC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead training programs on KMC for nurses, focusing on best practices.
  • Conduct specialized training on neonatal care, infection prevention, and breastfeeding.
  • Provide training on behavior change communication techniques for effective patient education.
  • Organize and facilitate weekly counselling sessions to address challenges and enhance skills.
  • Conduct regular in-person training sessions for ongoing skill development.
  • Offer ad hoc support to nurses, providing guidance and addressing concerns.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to nurses on KMC implementation.
  • Incorporate new evidence-based practices into the training curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
  • Experience: 2-3 years in NICU or PICU
  • Understanding of international KMC standards
  • Excellent oral and written skills in Hindi and English
  • Proficiency in basic office software (MS Word, Excel)
  • Flexibility and enjoyment in a startup environment
