Key Responsibilities as a Safety Associate Trainee

As a Safety Associate Trainee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of patients and the accuracy of safety data. Below are the primary responsibilities:

  • Training and Compliance: Prioritize and complete assigned training modules on time to meet project requirements.
  • Data Processing: Review, assess, and process safety data following applicable regulations, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Adverse Events Management: Collect and track incoming adverse events (AEs) and endpoint information, determine initial/update status, and enter data into the database.
  • Literature Review and Coding: Code adverse events and products, write detailed narratives, and participate in literature-related activities.
  • Problem Identification: Identify quality issues and report them to senior team members or mentors for resolution.
  • Team Participation: Attend project meetings and provide feedback to the operations manager regarding challenges or successes.
  • Work Standards: Ensure 100% compliance with company practices, meet productivity and quality benchmarks, and deliver tasks on time.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, you need the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, healthcare, or allied life sciences discipline.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and basic pharmacovigilance concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and willingness to learn new skills in the Safety service lines.
