Key Responsibilities as a Safety Associate Trainee
As a Safety Associate Trainee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of patients and the accuracy of safety data. Below are the primary responsibilities:
- Training and Compliance: Prioritize and complete assigned training modules on time to meet project requirements.
- Data Processing: Review, assess, and process safety data following applicable regulations, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adverse Events Management: Collect and track incoming adverse events (AEs) and endpoint information, determine initial/update status, and enter data into the database.
- Literature Review and Coding: Code adverse events and products, write detailed narratives, and participate in literature-related activities.
- Problem Identification: Identify quality issues and report them to senior team members or mentors for resolution.
- Team Participation: Attend project meetings and provide feedback to the operations manager regarding challenges or successes.
- Work Standards: Ensure 100% compliance with company practices, meet productivity and quality benchmarks, and deliver tasks on time.
Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this role, you need the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, healthcare, or allied life sciences discipline.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic pharmacovigilance concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and willingness to learn new skills in the Safety service lines.
