Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures.
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of coding guidelines and regulations.
- Identify and resolve coding errors and discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date on coding changes and updates.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical coding.
- Experience in one or more of the following specialties: IP DRG, Surgery, Denials, ED Facility, Radiology & IVR.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Certification from a recognized coding organization (e.g., AAPC, AHIMA) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
