Responsibilities in the Job
As a Senior Research Associate, your key responsibilities will include:
- Protein Expression and Purification: Performing protein expression and purification using the insect cell platform.
- Upstream and Downstream Processes: Executing processes involving bacterial and mammalian systems with a focus on gene-to-protein workflows.
- Instrument Handling: Operating and maintaining equipment for upstream and downstream processes, including AKTA purification systems.
- Analytical Techniques: Proficiency in SDS-PAGE, western blotting, and various chromatographic purification modes to ensure protein quality and characterization.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- A Master’s or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in protein expression and purification, particularly from insect cell platforms.
