Roles and Responsibilities
CRO Managed Studies
- Manage Contract Research Organizations (CROs) for clinical studies
- Identify investigators and sites in collaboration with teams
- Prepare and review clinical trial documents for EC & DCGI submissions
- Handle vendor management and agreements
- Coordinate regulatory submissions with internal teams
- Ensure timely reporting of SAEs and SUSARs
- Train CROs on pharmacovigilance practices
In-House Managed Studies
- Conduct site feasibility and investigator selection
- Manage study budgets and contracts
- Prepare and submit documents for ethics approval
- Oversee investigational product supply and tracking
- Perform site initiation, monitoring, and close-out
- Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and protocol adherence
- Conduct monitoring visits and resolve data queries
- Manage trial budgets and reporting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field
- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of:
- ICH-GCP guidelines
- New Drugs & Clinical Trial Rules, 2019
- ICMR guidelines
- Experience in handling multi-site clinical trials
- Familiarity with audits, inspections, and risk-based monitoring
