Plantex Agro Industries Private Limited is hiring an experienced Quality Control Specialist for its Mahape facility in Navi Mumbai. The company is looking for a hands-on QC professional who can independently manage raw material, in-process and finished-product quality control activities.

The role is particularly suitable for professionals with experience in the flavour industry, sensory evaluation, physical and chemical testing, QC documentation and quality-system management.

Roles & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining product quality from incoming raw materials through finished-product release.

Key responsibilities include:

• Inspecting and approving incoming raw materials according to defined specifications.
• Conducting in-process and finished-product quality control testing.
• Performing sensory evaluation of raw materials and flavours.
• Carrying out basic physical and chemical analysis.
• Managing product specifications, COAs, test reports and QC documentation.
• Conducting stability studies and maintaining retention samples.
• Developing and maintaining QC SOPs, testing methods and quality standards.
• Coordinating with Production, R&D, Sales and external laboratories on quality-related matters.
• Identifying deviations and supporting root-cause investigations.
• Supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensuring raw materials, intermediates and finished flavours meet established quality standards before release.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Candidates should have a strong understanding of quality-control processes, particularly in flavour-related manufacturing environments.

Key Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Control.
• Experience in the flavour industry is preferred.
• Strong sensory evaluation skills.
• Knowledge of physical and basic analytical testing of flavours.
• Understanding of raw material, in-process and finished-product QC.
• Ability to independently manage QC activities.
• Knowledge of SOP development and implementation.
• Understanding of product specifications and quality standards.
• Good documentation and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external laboratories.
