Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist in Process Technology to join our Research & Development (R&D) team in Udaipur. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of assigned projects within specified timelines while strictly adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Precisely understand project objectives, chemistry, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Conduct thorough literature surveys to support project initiatives and technical advancement.
- Collaborate to plan experiments, ensuring adequate resources (manpower, glassware, raw materials, and analysis) are available.
- Maintain lab equipment and enforce stringent housekeeping standards and PPE usage.
- Safely handle and dispose of toxic chemicals in compliance with MSDS guidelines.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Execute bench-scale experiments based on planned methodologies and identify critical parameters affecting outcomes.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for analytical support and prepare samples meeting quality standards.
- Optimize processes based on identified critical parameters and undertake characterization of impurities.
- Validate processes by reproducing a minimum of three consecutive batches consistently.
- Compile experimental observations and data systematically for future use.
- Facilitate demo batches for the Product Development (PD) team, ensuring adherence to quality plans and SOPs.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Contribute to budget proposals while adhering to budgetary controls relevant to your area of responsibility.
People Responsibilities:
- Engage in skill-upgradation initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
- Actively participate in problem-solving sessions and training programs.
- Foster effective communication and coordination within the team and guide subordinates as needed.
Candidate Profile
Education Qualification:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from a reputed university/institute.
Work Experience:
- 0-8 years of industrial experience in agrochemicals, fine chemicals, pharma-API, or specialty chemicals.
Functional Competencies:
- Expertise in route scouting and literature search.
- Practical laboratory experience with a strong understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations.
- Proficiency in data management and analytical data interpretation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
