The R&D Regulatory Affairs role focuses on supporting the Regulatory Affairs team by serving as a Discipline Approver. The responsibilities include:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with raw material specifications for all parameters under regulatory responsibility, particularly in the European Union and other jurisdictions.
- Interpreting Regulations: Applying EU regulatory requirements, country-specific regulations, and regional guidance (e.g., Codex).
- Specification Management: Aligning raw material specifications with PepsiCo Global Ingredient Standards.
- Data Harmonization: Ensuring consistency and harmonization of regulatory parameters across specifications.
- Regulatory Updates: Capturing and implementing regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
- System Optimization: Managing specifications data in SAP S/4 Hana for visibility and accessibility.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Europe Regulatory Affairs, R&D Project Managers, and external suppliers.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for specification enhancements and recommending improvements to the Regulatory Team.
- Regulatory Change Management (RCM): Supporting updates to specifications impacted by regulatory changes and conducting impact assessments.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Professional experience of over 4 years in Food Regulatory Affairs or Food Safety-related roles.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Proficiency in interpreting and assessing regulatory and technical information.
- Strong learning agility and self-motivation for continuous improvement.
