Roles and Responsibilities
As a Senior Medicinal Chemist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing integrated drug discovery programs. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading multi-modality, chemistry-focused drug discovery projects from concept to candidate selection.
- Tackling complex synthesis challenges with advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques.
- Utilizing modern discovery platforms such as electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), cheminformatics, and digital workflows.
- Collaborating across disciplines including biology, ADME/DMPK, and platform sciences to ensure seamless integrated project delivery.
- Mentoring junior scientists to uphold global standards of scientific rigor and quality.
- Building and representing partnerships with global biotech clients, including occasional travel to collaborators in the UK, USA, or Europe.
- Applying expertise in productivity-enhancing techniques like high-throughput experimentation (HTE), flow chemistry, and related methods.

Required Qualifications and Skills
o2h Discovery seeks exceptional candidates with strong international credentials:
- Ph.D. or Postdoc from a leading international university (USA/UK/EU strongly preferred).
- 5–20 years of industrial experience in small-molecule drug discovery.
- Expertise in medicinal and synthetic chemistry, including strong route design and troubleshooting.
- Experience across advanced modalities such as ADCs, peptides, covalent inhibitors, TPD (targeted protein degraders), and practical knowledge of HTE, flow chemistry, and other techniques.
- Proficiency with digital chemistry tools, ELNs, cheminformatics, and modern discovery platforms.
- Excellent scientific communication, influence, and mentoring abilities for global teams.
- Current base in the UK, USA, or Europe with demonstrated international industry experience (relocation and visa support provided for the right candidate).
