Job Description: Medical Reviewer – Pharmacovigilance
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical review of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) for accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- Evaluate adverse events (AEs) for seriousness, expectedness, causality, and MedDRA coding.
- Ensure proper medical terminology and consistency in case narratives.
- Provide medical sign-off on processed cases.
- Recommend and initiate follow-up queries for additional medical information.
- Collaborate with pharmacovigilance teams to improve case processing quality.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- MBBS or MD (Mandatory) – Strong clinical knowledge in disease pathology, pharmacology, and therapeutics.
- Experience in pharmacovigilance (Preferred) – Familiarity with Argus safety database, MedDRA, and WHO-DD coding.
- Attention to detail – Ability to critically analyze medical data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communication & Leadership – Strong interpersonal skills to guide teams and interact with global stakeholders.
