Job Description
THE POSITION
The Medical Information Specialist role is a critical customer-facing position that ensures the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. The specialist provides evidence-based, non-promotional medical information to healthcare professionals, patients, and payers. Additionally, this role involves post-marketing adverse event reporting and medical writing for customized responses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Medical Information Support
- Respond to medical inquiries from doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and patients via phone, email, CRM, and chat.
- Research and evaluate medical literature to prepare accurate and balanced responses.
- Maintain knowledge of therapeutic areas, product details, and client-specific requirements.
2. Adverse Event & Product Complaint Handling
- Identify and document adverse events (AEs) and product complaints in compliance with FDA regulations.
- Prepare AE and product complaint reports following EVERSANA and client SOPs.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments for issue resolution.
3. Medical Writing & Content Development
- Draft FAQs, Scientific Response Documents (SRDs), and Custom Response Documents (CRDs).
- Support the medical writing team in developing high-quality medical content.
4. Additional Duties
- Provide on-call support as needed.
- Assist in market research, process improvements, and field team training.
Skills & Qualifications
✔ Education: Any Graduate (Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine preferred)
✔ Experience: 1-5 years in Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance, or Medical Writing
✔ Knowledge of FDA regulations and safety reporting requirements
✔ Strong medical writing & communication skills
✔ Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data
