Key Job Openings – Fermentation Production (Upstream)
- Positions: Assistants, Executives, Shift Managers
- Department: API Division – Fermentation Production
- Location: Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh (Full-time, On-site)
- Experience Required: 2–10 years in large-scale fermentation production
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor large-scale fermenters (50 KL and above)
- Handle seed development, inoculum preparation, media sterilization, and fermentation batches
- Perform in-process sampling, parameter monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Maintain GMP documentation, batch records, and logbooks
- Ensure cleaning, sterilization (SIP/CIP), and equipment readiness
- Coordinate with downstream, QC, and engineering teams
- Follow safety, EHS, and regulatory guidelines strictly
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech in Biotechnology or related fields
- 2–10 years of relevant experience in upstream fermentation production in API / bulk drug industry
- Hands-on experience with large-scale stainless steel fermenters
- Knowledge of microbial fermentation processes (bacteria/fungi/yeast)
- Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems is an advantage
- Strong GMP and documentation skills
