IQVIA Laboratories is seeking a skilled Lab Data Analyst with expertise in Python programming to join their dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive clinical lab data expertise to develop and maintain Laboratory Data Management (LDM) tasks for studies awarded to IQVIA Laboratories. The ideal candidate will support the development of new systems and processes related to electronic data transfer and the configuration of business rules in study and laboratory information systems.
Essential Functions
- Independently handle or contribute to Python programming activities for ongoing study requirements or ad-hoc projects.
- Create and review data management documents.
- Understand and comply with core standard operating procedures and working instructions.
- Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with the LDM team.
- Interact with internal and external team members to negotiate timelines and responsibilities.
- Train and mentor junior staff in Data Management (DM) expertise.
- Ensure service and quality meet agreed-upon timelines and deliverables in data transmission agreements.
- Perform quality checks on data files before transmission and obtain peer reviews where required.
- Record all evidence of the data transmission process from data file definition to study closure.
- Ensure all specification and design documentation are filed and stored according to company policy.
- Address and resolve internal and external customer queries effectively.
- Manage project timelines and quality issues, identifying and justifying out-of-scope client requests.
- Assist with data entry, review, and validation of laboratory reports.
- Perform comprehensive quality control and edit check procedures.
- Support service delivery with process and technical expertise, developing corrective and preventive action plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with Software Configuration and Validation experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in Data Management and Python Programming.
- Basic knowledge of Python Programming and Data Management procedures.
- Good customer-focus perspective with strong attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of medical, clinical research, and Lab Data Management processes and terminology.
- High degree of ethics and integrity, carrying out duties in accordance with laws, regulatory standards, and company policies.
