Position Overview
The Clinical Data Specialist / Associate Clinical Data Coordinator provides data management support to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team, ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality data management products that meet customer requirements.
The position may also involve team leadership activities under the supervision of a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate data operations for clinical trial protocols and central laboratory studies.
- Support clinical data review and resolve data clarifications.
- Develop and test clinical databases and edit specifications.
- Perform programming testing and clinical data coding when required.
- Lead database audit teams when assigned.
- Serve as a backup for a Data Operations Coordinator or Data Team Lead.
- Follow core operating procedures and work instructions.
- Meet assigned objectives and maintain effective working relationships with CDM team members.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, or mathematical sciences, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
- 1–6 years of experience in core clinical data management.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of clinical data management processes.
- Experience with clinical study startup, conduct, and closeout.
- Working knowledge of Medidata RAVE/RAVE and Veeva.
- Exposure to medical terminology.
