Role Overview

As a Medical Coding Analyst, you will:

• Analyze medical records and accurately assign ICD-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes for diagnoses, procedures, and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines, AMA, AHA, CMS updates, NCCI Edits, and client-specific coding guidelines.
• Assist in reviewing documentation for minor surgical procedures, vaccinations, laboratory CPT codes, and screening CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Verify and modify coding for accuracy based on NCCI edits and LCD/NCD coverage determinations.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality and system security.
• Stay updated with coding changes and contribute to the team’s overall productivity and quality.

Key Qualifications

Education:

• Life Science or Medical Science graduates.

Certifications:

• Certified Professional Coders (CPC/COC/CCS/CIC) through AAPC/AHIMA only.
• Certification validity must be at least three months from the joining date.

Experience:

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in medical coding.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in ICD guidelines, CPT codes, and human anatomy.
• Basic understanding of ED/EM levels, modifiers, and NCCI edits.
• Knowledge of medical terminologies and coding systems.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality adherence, and team collaboration skills.

Job Details

• Location: Chennai, Guindy.
• Work Mode: On-site (Work from Office only).
• Workdays: 5 days a week.
• Joining Date: January 2025.
