Job Overview

Cytiva is currently seeking a Field Service Trainee in Pune, Maharashtra, and Kolkata, West Bengal. This position falls under the Customer Support Organization and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence of Cytiva’s cutting-edge biopharmaceutical equipment.

Responsibilities in the Job

As a Field Service Trainee, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Installation and Maintenance: You will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and planned maintenance of various single-use and downstream equipment sold by Cytiva to customers in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Service Calls Management: Attend and resolve service calls following Cytiva’s Service Quality standards.
  • Customer Support: Provide support during off-hours and holidays to meet customer expectations.
  • Service Business Growth: Assist in growing the service business by selling Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), spare parts, and validation solutions.
  • Commercial Offers and Payments: Prepare commercial offers for service offerings, follow up with customers, and collect payments for services rendered.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Biotechnology from a recognized institution.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to learn and effectively install, service, and troubleshoot biopharmaceutical equipment, including upstream bioreactors and downstream liquid chromatography systems.
  • Validation Services Knowledge: Learn about validation services as per industry norms.

Skills

Successful candidates will exhibit the following skills:

  • Communication Skills: Fluency in English and the ability to interface with both internal team members and external customers effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Plan and organize work effectively, maintaining high standards and quality of work.
  • Adaptability: A strong willingness to learn processes related to reporting, escalations, and revenue forecasting within Cytiva Life Sciences.
