As a Junior Central Testing Analyst in the Clinical Data Sciences (CDS) group at Pfizer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and functionality of database screens and edit checks. This role is integral to the Pfizer Research and Development (PRD) organization and involves working closely with clinical data to maintain high standards and consistency across programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Perform testing on database screens to ensure they meet the protocol standards and user expectations.
  • Edit Check Testing: Test database edit checks to confirm they are correctly programmed and meet the specifications.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent application of data standards across programs, focusing on data quality and consistency.
  • Protocol Understanding: Comprehend the clinical study protocol to effectively conduct screen testing.
  • Documentation: Complete and manage all study-related documentation and share it with the study team.
  • Feedback and Learning: Participate in UAT feedback meetings, track lessons learned, and share knowledge within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in Health Sciences or Technology is preferred.
  • Experience: 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in the clinical domain, life sciences, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Awareness of clinical development and pharmaceutical industry regulations (e.g., FDA, Health Canada).
    • Basic understanding of clinical data management processes.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • Capability to learn and use technical data systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, J-Review).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work remotely.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • This role is primarily office-based, requiring significant computer work and occasional presentations.

Organizational Relationships:

  • This role involves regular interaction with various teams within the Clinical Data Sciences group and potentially external stakeholders related to the clinical study.
