Job Purpose
We are seeking a motivated Cell Engineering Scientist with experience in mammalian cell culture. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic Cell Engineering team, working to generate stable cell lines for both research tools and production purposes. You will gain hands-on experience in cell line development, molecular biology techniques, and innovative processes, with opportunities for learning and career growth in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Stable Cell Line Generation: Develop cell lines for production or research tools.
- Cell Characterization: Use flow cytometry, western blotting, and other techniques for analyzing cell lines.
- Experimentation & Planning: Design, plan, and conduct experiments. Analyze results and report findings effectively.
- Documentation & Inventory Management: Maintain diligent records of data and manage cell bank inventories.
- EHS Compliance: Adhere to environment, health, and safety (EHS) protocols at all times. Attend safety training sessions to ensure lab safety and compliance.
Educational Qualifications
- M.Sc./M.Tech/Masters in Biology, Biotechnology, or any related life sciences field.
Technical & Functional Skills Required
- Mandatory:
- Experience with stable cell line generation.
- Hands-on expertise in generating lentivirus or retrovirus.
- Preferred:
- Experience with CRISPR-Cas9 or other genome editing technologies.
- Knowledge of creating reporter cell lines.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques and flow cytometry.
- Experience with cell bank preparation and inventory maintenance.
- Additional Skills:
- Attention to detail with strong documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience
- 0-3 years of experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience required if the candidate holds postgraduate qualifications.
