Fortrea, a leading global Contract Research Organization (CRO), has announced a new opportunity for the position of Apprentice – Statistical Programming in Bangalore. This role is part of the Fortrea India Apprentice Program, offering early-career professionals a chance to gain hands-on experience in clinical trials data analysis, statistical programming, and drug development processes.
The Statistical Programming Apprentice role at Fortrea is ideal for candidates interested in clinical data analysis, biostatistics, and programming in clinical research. Apprentices will work with Fortrea’s global biometrics team, which consists of 700+ statistical programmers supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device development worldwide.
This apprenticeship provides exposure to clinical trial protocols, case report forms (CRFs), regulatory submissions such as IND and NDA applications, and statistical analysis of clinical trial data.
Key Responsibilities – Statistical Programming Apprentice
Candidates selected for the Fortrea Statistical Programming Apprentice position will perform the following responsibilities:
- Support statistical analysis and programming of clinical trial datasets
- Assist in clinical trial data organization, analysis, and reporting
- Understand the drug development lifecycle from clinical trials to regulatory submission
- Work with clinical trial documents such as protocols, CRFs, and informed consent forms
- Prepare reports for efficacy and safety evaluation of investigational products
- Follow Fortrea and sponsor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborate with global biostatistics and biometrics teams
- Support programming tasks using SAS, R, Python, SQL, and UNIX environments
This role provides practical experience in clinical data science, biostatistics, and statistical programming in clinical research.
Eligibility Criteria

Education
- BE / B.Tech (Computer Science / IT)
- MCA
- M.Sc. in Statistics
Required Skills
